Throughout the year, there are special Liturgies and events that many in our parish community look forward to enjoying. Following is a look at just a few...

We invite you to join us and make them your traditions as well.



JANUARY

Epiphany Choir Concert and Celebration: Celebrate the Christmas season and Epiphany with this special musical program.  

JANUARY

MOTHERS Anniversary: The celebration of the anniversary of the formation of the MOTHERS group in the Parish Community of St. Catharine.

JANUARY

Rite of Choice for Confirmation: A ceremony for teens as they are accepted into the Confirmation Program.  This year, the date will be January 20, 2008.

MARCH

Rite of Choice for Eucharist: Children preparing for First Eucharist are acknowledged during a Sunday Liturgy.  This year's date is March 2, 2008.

LENT

Stations of the Cross for Mothers: Reflection on the sufferings and death of Jesus through a mothers eyes; scheduled for Good Friday, March 21, 2008.

LENT

Lent Spiritual Series: Varied spiritual programs to enable parishioners to enter the Spirit of Lent.

SPRING

Divine Mercy Sunday: Praying of the Chaplet and Eucharist Exposition on the Sunday following Easter (March 30, 2008).

SPRING

Anointing of the Sick: Communal Anointing of the Sick during Sunday Liturgy for those who are seriously ill, advanced ages and/or anticipating surgery. A reception follows the Liturgy.

MAY

Parish Picnic: Parishioners gather to enjoy good company, food, & fun!

JULY

Vacation Bible School: Children in Pre-K through Grade 4 enjoy a week of Bible sharing through stories, art, and music.

SEPTEMBER

Catechetical Sunday: Adults involved in the teaching ministries of the parish receive a special blessing & the prayers of the community for the ministry.

NOVEMBER

All Souls Liturgy of Remembrance: Invitations to a special November 2nd Liturgy are sent to those who have had family members die during the previous year. Loved ones are named and prayed for during mass.

NOVEMBER

Thanksgiving Day: Special Family Liturgy followed by a gathering for refreshments.

ADVENT

Advent Enrichment: Varied programs for spiritual enrichment in preparation for Christmas.

ADVENT

Advent Prayer Partners: Parishioners take the name of another parishioner and pray for them during Advent. At the celebration following the Epiphany Choir Concert, prayer partner identities are revealed.

DECEMBER

Christmas Caroling to the Homebound: Parishioners visit the homebound with gifts of poinsettia plants and Christmas Carols.
