The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment

The National Institute for Drug Abuse is the clearinghouse of information for drug and alcohol abuse; all information is available free of charge.

Gives information and meeting times for confidential support groups designed for people who have, or suspect they have, a drug problem.

New Jersey Drug Hotline

Statewide drug abuse hotline. Counselors will take your calls, offer you advice, and give information and referrals to appropriate agencies in your area.

Runaway Hotline

This agency provides information and support for teenagers who are thinking of running away or who have run away. Trained counselors are available to offer you advice and support. They also offer a "home free" program where the agency will pay to transport a runaway home one time.

Grief Counseling - The Center for Help

Family and Individual Help
Chronic Illness - The Community Resource Council

Offers advice, support and referrals on almost any subject, including chronic or terminal illness. They will be able to connect you to the proper agency.

Divorce - Children

Divorce and the formation of stepfamilies is often a difficult aspect of a child or teenager's life. Going through a divorce is often very difficult and a person may require a lot of support. These organizations are designed to offer that support:

Domestic Violence Hotline

Twenty-four hour hotline, offering emergency help covering such areas as domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, violence in the home and dating violence, etc.

Pregnancy Information & Assitance
Pregnancy Hotline

Catholic Charities agencies across the country team up to offer a hot line for people troubled by crisis pregnancies. A call to the hotline links the caller with a nearby Catholic Charities agency which offers supportive services ranging from counseling and parenting information to adoption and help with living expenses during and after pregnancy.
