The Music Ministry Program plays a very important role in the Church. Music encourages a conscious and active participation during liturgical celebrations. Our music ministry is very active in the pastoral life of the community through out the year as well as supporting those celebrating the sacraments of the church. So whether it is the Easter season, Christmas, or the weekly Eucharist, there are opportunities to join in with song!

No matter what your age, we invite you to share your musical gifts with the Parish Community of St. Catharine.

The Song Leader servers as the leader of song supporting the assembly's "active and conscious" participation during our weekend, liturgical celebrations as well as weddings, funerals, and other church-related events. The Song Leader can fulfill the dual role of Song Leader and Cantor if comfortable singing both. The Cantor sings the sung prayer for example, the Psalm. Both Song Leader and Cantor should have strong vocal and confident leadership skills. Song Leaders and Canotrs are paid professionals and volunteers.

Adult Choir (SATB)

Parishioners who sing at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Liturgy, September-June. Open to all who are at least 14 years of age and are high school freshmen.
Rehearsals are held in the Church on Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Contemporary Ensemble (Instruments and Voices)

Adult and youth parishioners who sing and play instruments at the 12:00 noon Sunday Liturgy. September-June. Open to all who are at least 14 years of age and are high school freshmen. Rehearsals are held in the Church on Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Alleluia Choir (funerals)

Part of the Lazarus Ministry, these are adult parishioners who sing at Funeral Liturgies. Monday-Saturday. Rehearsals before/after funerals.

Youth Choir

Parishioners in grades 9-12 who sing monthly at their own Sunday Liturgy.
This Choir is part of our Youth Ministry Program.

Holiday Children's Choir

For Parishioners in Grades K through 8.
