WITHIN THE PARISH COMMUNITY OF ST. CATHARINE

Ministry to the Homebound

Spiritual care is available for ill or elderly parishioners who are confined to their homes and are unable to attend Church. Upon request to the rectory, arrangements can be made to receive the Eucharist, Penance, and Anointing of the Sick.

Hospital Visitors Dedicated women and men bring a friendly visit to our parishioners who are ill in Valley Hospital.

Transportation to the Doctor

Parishioners who require transportation to visit their doctor are connected with parishioners who have volunteered to provide this service.

Volunteer drivers should contact the parish office: 201-445-3703.


Transportation to Sunday Mass

For those parishioners who are elderly or somewhat infirmed and cannot drive themselves to Mass on Sunday and do not have anyone else to take them.

Human Concerns Committee

Opportunity to reach out and help those in need. Eva's Kitchen, St. Boniface Food Collection and many others benefit by the work of this committee. Check the weekly bulletin for details.


Eva's Kitchen / CAP in Hackensack

Dedicated women and men who prepare and serve meals to the hungry. Check the weekly bulletin for details.

Resurrection

A program that supplies food (canned goods, cereals, etc.) and other services to the sister parish of St. Catharine. Check the weekly bulletin for details.


Hospitality for Homeless Overnight

Volunteers host the homeless of Bergen County at St. Catharine one night each week during February and March. Check the weekly bulletin for details.


Rosary Makers

ST. THERESA OF THE CHILD JESUS: Rosaries are made for various institutions and missions throughout the world. Check the weekly bulletin for details.


Respect Life Committee

Through prayer, education and action, the pro-life committee attempts to restore respect and reverence for human life from conception until natural death. Check the weekly bulletin for details.


Eastern Christian Children's Retreat Bible Service

A number of parishioners conduct a Bible service for the children at ECCR in Wyckoff on alternate Sundays from 2 to 3 p.m. Check the weekly bulletin for details or contact the Religious Education Office.
