PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN (PRE-K through 6th GRADE)
Family Life is a cornerstone to our Parish Community. Children are the cornerstone of our families.
The parish community of St. Catharine provides a range of activities to foster the spiritual and social development of our children.

Liturgy of Word for Children

A program to help children (targets ages 4 1/2 to 9) understand the message of Jesus. Sessions are held at the 10:30 a.m. mass. Liturgy on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month during ordinary months, every Sunday during Advent and Lent.

  • No enrollment is necessary for children.
  • Adults interested in volunteering, contact a member of the Liturgy of the Word for Children committee.

Scouts

 Scouting programs run for both boys and girls for our children and teens.

CYO Athletics

 Catholic Youth Organization offers basketball and other athletic programs for children and teens.

M.O.T.H.E.R.S.

 Mothers Organized to Help, Educate, Recreate and Support offers Playgroups for children 6 months to 5 years, various Family Activities, and T.Y.I.C.A. (Today's Youth In Christian Action), a community outreach program for children ages third through sixth grades.

Holiday Children's Choir

For Parishioners in Grades K through 8.

  • Performances at Christmas Liturgy on December 25th at 12:00 noon.
  • Rehearsals are held in Holmes Building on Sundays 9:30 a.m. - 10:20 a.m. or in the School Music Room on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.. Check weekly bulleting for specific details.
  • Contact the Music Director to enroll in all music programs.
